Frequently asked questions

What clients ask before they work with us: timelines, pricing, platforms, ownership and support. Can't find an answer? Just ask us.

Working with us

Most websites launch in 6–12 weeks depending on scope, and Shopify stores in 6–10. We map a detailed timeline during the Blueprint stage, so you always know what's happening and when.

Our team: the designers and developers who actually build your site, not an account manager passing messages along.

Five stages: Discover, Blueprint, Build, Launch and Scale. Each has clear deliverables and milestones, so you can see progress throughout rather than only at the end.

Yes. We're based in Niddrie, Melbourne, and work with clients across Australia. Most projects run start to finish over video calls, and we're happy to meet in person around Melbourne where it helps.

Yes. Most clients stay on after launch for support, maintenance, optimisation and new features. We're set up to be a long-term partner, not a one-off build.

Yes, it's a large part of our work: medical centres, physiotherapy and psychology practices, paediatric therapy clinics and NDIS providers. We design within AHPRA's advertising rules for registered health services and build for accessibility from the start.

No. Websites are built on open, standard technology and handed over with clean, documented code, and marketing retainers run month to month. You keep ownership of your accounts and data. Clients stay because they want to, not because they're stuck.

We can. We write clear, plain-language content for your pages, or work alongside your team to refine what you already have, depending on scope.

Pricing

Every project is scoped first, then quoted at a fixed price. As a guide, a custom small-business website in Australia typically costs $5,000–$15,000, a Shopify store $8,000–$30,000+ and a custom web app $20,000+. Our website cost guide explains what moves the number.

Yes, once the project is scoped. The proposal lists what's included and when each stage lands. If the brief changes partway through, we price the change before any work starts on it, so the number never moves without your say-so.

Technology

WordPress, Shopify and custom React/Next.js builds. We recommend the platform that suits your goals and budget, not the one we happen to prefer.

Yes. We build on systems your team can manage easily, so you can update pages, news, products and events without a developer.

Yes. We redesign existing sites and migrate from platforms like WooCommerce, Magento and BigCommerce, carrying over your content, products and orders and redirecting old URLs so you keep your search rankings.

Yes. We regularly connect sites to CRMs, booking and practice-management systems, payment gateways, ERPs, marketing platforms and custom APIs.

Yes. We design and develop to WCAG accessibility standards, so your site works for people of all abilities. It matters most for health and disability providers, and it helps every site.

SEO & growth

SEO foundations are part of every build: technical setup, metadata, site structure and Core Web Vitals. Ongoing SEO campaigns are a separate engagement.

Most businesses see meaningful movement within 3–6 months, with results compounding after that. Local SEO can show sooner; competitive terms take longer.

Yes. Our management fee is separate from your ad spend, which you pay directly to Google or Meta and always control.

We agree the measures upfront, usually enquiries, bookings or sales, and track them alongside traffic, conversion rate and page performance throughout the engagement.
