Web app support from a team that reads the code first

The developer who built your portal or internal tool has moved on, and nobody wants to touch it. Our Melbourne team takes over custom web applications, fixes what's broken and keeps building on them, for businesses across Australia.

Sound familiar?

Most people who call our team about support start with one of these four sentences.

  • “The developer who built it has moved on.”

We take over apps written by someone else. We read the code first, so you know what you actually have.

  • “An integration stopped working and orders are stuck.”

We trace which side changed, repair the connection, and put a check in place so you hear about it before your customers do.

  • “We have a list of features nobody is building.”

Keep a retainer or a pack of hours with us and the list starts moving, in the order that matters to the business.

  • “It has got slower as we've grown.”

We find where the time is going, whether that's the database, the code or the hosting, and fix that part.

Everything between your domain and your customer

A web app is screens, logic, data and the services wired into it, usually built by someone who is no longer around. Our team looks after the whole stack, so there's one place to call.

  • Screens and user experience

The parts your staff and customers use every day, made clearer and quicker to work with.

  • Features and business rules

Bug fixes and new features, built to match how your business actually runs.

  • Integrations and APIs

The connections to your store, accounting, shipping and email services, kept working when either side changes.

  • Logins and permissions

Who can get in and what they can see. Fixed when it locks people out, tightened when it lets too much through.

  • Database and data

Your records kept safe, backed up and quick to query as they grow.

  • Hosting and deployments

Where the app runs and how changes reach it, set up so a fix can go live without taking the app down.

  • Domain and DNS

Who owns the domain, where it points and when it renews. We untangle it when you're moving away from another provider.

Taking over a web app someone else built

You don't need the original developer, and you don't need to rebuild. This is how it goes.

  1. 1

    Tell us what's wrong

A call or a message is enough to start. Tell us what the app does and what has stopped working.

  2. 2

We read the code before we quote

You give us access to the code and the hosting. We review how it's built and tell you plainly what state it's in.

  3. 3

    A safe copy first

We set up a copy to work on, so fixes are tested before they reach your users.

  4. 4

    Kept moving

Keep a pack of hours or a monthly retainer with us for fixes and new features as you need them.

“We engaged Web Divine to redesign our website with a focus on improving our branding, SEO, and overall user experience. They were easy to work with, took the time to understand our business, and delivered a clean, modern site that better reflects who we are as an ICT company. The LinkedIn integration is a nice touch, making it easier to connect with our audience and showcase what we do. We’ve also seen improvements in how the site presents in search, and the structure now supports both client engagement and general enquiries more effectively. Communication was straightforward, feedback was handled quickly, and the whole process felt well managed from start to finish. A solid team if you’re looking for a practical, well-executed website uplift.”

Answers to the usual questions

Yes. We start by reading the code and checking the hosting, then tell you plainly what state it's in and what it needs. We only start changing things once you've seen that.

We build in React, Next.js and Node, and that's where we're strongest. If your app is written in something else, ask us; we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right team for it.

You do. You keep ownership of the code, the data and the accounts it runs on, and we hand over clean, documented work.

Our standard rate is $150 an hour. Pre-paid hours packs bring that down to $125 an hour (5 hours for $625, 10 hours for $1,250, 20 hours for $2,500), and monthly retainers to $110 an hour, from $550 a month. All prices are plus GST. Bigger projects are scoped first, then quoted at a fixed price.

A pack is pre-paid hours you draw down whenever you need them. A retainer reserves time with our team every month at a lower hourly rate, with a 3-month minimum. Retainers are billed monthly for the hours actually used, and unused hours don't roll over.

Hours packs are valid for 6 months from the day you buy them, and you can use them for any work: fixes, changes, improvements or new features. There's no monthly commitment.

Yes. Hours packs and retainers cover any work: fixes, improvements or new features. Larger pieces are scoped first, then quoted at a fixed price.
